GEPPO
GEriatricPatients living with HIV/AIDS: a Prospective multidimensional assessment of an ageing cOhort & community
GEPPO is an ongoing prospective cohort enrolling older people living with HIV (OPLWH, >=65 years of age) and community dwelling HIV-negative individuals. The main objective is the description of the trajectory of geriatric health domains and healthy ageing in OPLWH and controls. The Protocol with primary and secondary objectives is in the “Documetns” folder.
GEPPO is also a working group allowing persons with different backgrounds (infectious disease doctors, geriatricians, physiatrists, nurses, physical therapists, nutritionists and members of the community) to meet and discuss on the needs of older people with and without HIV and to work together aiming at achieving a healthy ageing for all.
The Scientific Director of the cohort il Prof. Giovanni Di Perri and the Scientific Committee include Prof. Giovanni Guaraldi, Prof. Emanuele Focà, Dr. Chiara Mussi, Prof. Andrea Calcagno, Prof.ssa. Alessandra Marangoni, Prof. Stefano Calza.
